Ukraine alleges North Korean troops aid in Russian attacks

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has confirmed the involvement of North Korean troops in Russian attacks on Ukraine. He met with South Korean leaders to discuss security threats in the region.

During a visit to Seoul, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov confirmed reports of North Korean soldiers participating in Russian military actions in Ukraine.

He emphasized that North Korean forces not only supply equipment and personnel but also actively support attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. He noted that the combat experience gained could pose a threat to South Korea.

In Seoul, Umerov met with the President of South Korea, the Minister of Defense, and the Chief of the National Security Office.

Ukraine warns of threat; seeks cooperation with South Korea

Both delegations discussed joint efforts to enhance security and stability in the region. "We believe that our arguments about the need to increase cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea will lead to a tangible strengthening of security for our peoples and regions," emphasized Umerov.

The meeting in Seoul aimed to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and South Korea in the face of growing threats from North Korea. The Ukrainian Defense Minister expressed hope for bolstering regional security through joint efforts.

Just before the start of the winter season, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine's fuel and energy sector facilities. In the last 24 hours alone, the Ukrainian Air Force reported massive attacks on power substations in various regions of Ukraine.

The statement emphasized that recently, Russian forces have been using much larger numbers of missiles and drones during attacks, often overwhelming air defense capabilities.
