The head of Ukrainian diplomacy, Andriy Sybiha, announced on platform X that on Thursday, he met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at NATO headquarters in Brussels. He reported that one of the topics of conversation was Russia's violation of the ceasefire concerning energy infrastructure.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister emphasized that during his conversation with Rubio, he confirmed his country's strong commitment to peace and expressed appreciation for the leadership role of the United States in this process. Sybiha noted that Ukraine is fully committed to peace and has already taken specific, unconditional steps to achieve it, while Russia continues to drag its feet.
Sybiha in Brussels: Ukraine accuses Russia of breaking the ceasefire
The Ukrainian politician added that he provided his American interlocutor with information about Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, which took place despite earlier declarations of adhering to the ceasefire.
Sybiha also reported that the conversation touched on developing cooperation between Ukraine and the United States, especially in the areas of investments and mineral resources, which could become the foundation of a strong partnership between the two countries. Topics also included future contacts between Washington and Kyiv.
