The video, shared by Bild, reportedly comes from near Donbas. It was captured by a DJI Mavic 3T drone, operated by Ukrainian military personnel, equipped with a thermal imaging camera capable of operating at an altitude of up to about 3.7 miles. The footage shows an unidentified flying object (UFO) hovering above the ground and remaining stationary.

A DJI representative commented on the recording, stating they could not precisely explain what was captured by the military. They suggested that a technical failure might have occurred during filming, as reported by Bild.

DailyMail highlights a detail: the object captured by the drone's thermal imaging camera is warmer than its surroundings, suggesting the drone might have recorded another flying object. Additionally, the observation's altitude suggests that the UFO could have been as far as about 31 miles from the camera.

What did the Ukrainians record?

Online commentators are discussing two possible explanations for what the Ukrainians captured. Both scenarios dismiss the idea of an extraterrestrial spacecraft over Ukraine. The first suggests a technical matrix failure in the drone, as mentioned by the DJI representative.

The lens might have been damaged, leading to an irregularly shaped and colored element appearing in the recorded image. However, some online users speculate that the object in the footage does not match the camera's movements, challenging this theory.

The other theory proposes that the Ukrainian DJI Mavic 3T drone captured another drone. This theory is plausible because drones can hover in the air without moving. The object might have been conducting surveillance from above or supporting allied artillery systems in bombardment without needing to engage Ukrainian positions directly or react to the nearby Ukrainian drone.

It is also conceivable that the unidentified flying object recorded by the Ukrainians is an unknown weapon at the front, potentially used by the Russians.
