The sentencing of Ferguson is related to an incident that occurred on May 7. According to the American media, the famous UFC fighter created a hazardous situation on the road by hitting two parked cars in front of a Hollywood club, driving his pickup truck.

As an outcome of the collision, the truck tipped onto its side, but Ferguson and his two passengers escaped injury. Eyewitness accounts reveal that the UFC fighter's vehicle was utterly totaled.

The news was first reported by TMZ. Findings by its journalists indicate that Ferguson allegedly declined to undergo a sobriety test, and his breath exhibited signs of alcohol. Consequently, the UFC combatant was apprehended, and the bail was pegged at 30 thousand dollars.

TMZ has reported that Ferguson has now received a verdict in the case. The UFC fighter has been given a one-year suspended sentence. A negotiated settlement between Ferguson and the prosecutors resulted in this relatively mild sentence; the MMA star conceded to reckless driving, which led to the dropping of the charge of DUI against him.

Tony Ferguson is a UFC legend. He made his entrance into the world's leading MMA federation in September 2011, and clinched the interim lightweight belt six years later. Throughout his career, the fighter has chalked up 25 wins and suffered 9 losses.

The career of the 39-year-old athlete, however, has taken a significant downturn recently. Ferguson has experienced six consecutive defeats since May 2020. He will have the opportunity to snap his losing streak on December 16. At the UFC 296 gala in Las Vegas, he is set to match against the federation's rising star, British Paddy Pimblett.
