Tyler Christopher, ex‑husband of Eva Longoria, dies suddenly at 50
Actor Tyler Christopher, known for his roles in TV shows including "General Hospital" and "Days of Our Lives," has died unexpectedly at the age of 50. The news was confirmed by his colleague and his agent, who were both left in shock.
Maurice Bernard, a fellow actor from "General Hospital" where Christopher had appeared from 1996 to 2016, was the first to report the news of Tyler Christopher's death.
Bernard announced that Christopher passed away on a Tuesday morning in San Diego due to a heart attack.
"Tyler was a sweet soul and wonderful friend to all of those who knew him," Bernard wrote on Instagram, emphasizing that Christopher was a fantastic actor who was greatly cherished by his fans.
The heartbreaking news was also confirmed by the actor's manager.
"This news was incredibly shocking, and I am devastated by his loss. He was a very gifted actor, and more importantly, an amazing friend. My heart goes out to his friends and family who loved him so much," Chi Muoi Lo was quoted as saying by CNN.
If he had lived, Christopher would have turned 51 on November 11. He was best known for his roles in long-running soap operas such as "General Hospital" and "Days of Our Lives". In recent years, he also appeared in B-grade films like "20.0 Megaquake" and "Ice Quake".
The actor was married to actress Eva Longoria ("Desperate Housewives") from 2002 to 2004. In 2008, he wedded journalist Brienne Pedigo, with whom he had two children.
