It's a guaranteed delight for crunchy wafers, chocolate, nuts, and a creamy concoction. Although the famous Knoppers wafers are relatively small, and as we all know, good things often come to a premature end. However, supersized Knoppers defy this rule, promising a more enduring presence in your fridge.

Supersized Knoppers

The enlarged wafer is a sweet treat that the whole family will appreciate. Perfect to accompany your afternoon coffee, it's sure to impress at family gatherings and vanish rapidly at parties.

Ingredients:

For the white mixture:

  • 1/4 cup of milk,
  • 4 spoons of sugar,
  • 0.39 lbs of butter,
  • 1 cup of powdered milk.

For the chocolate mixture:

  • 0.22 lbs of butter,
  • 0.35 lbs of chocolate cream,
  • 1 spoon of cocoa,
  • 0.22 lbs of hazelnuts.

Additional ingredients:

  • 3 cake base wafers,
  • 0.11 lbs of milk chocolate,
  • 0.11 lbs of dark chocolate.

Preparation:

  1. Start with the white mixture. Heat up the milk in a pot and add sugar, stirring till dissolved. Allow it to cool slightly.
  2. Whisk the butter until it's creamy. Gradually, incorporate the milk mixture, continuing to mix. Finally, add the powdered milk.
  3. Switch to the chocolate mixture. Roast the nuts in a dry pan. Transfer them onto a cloth and rub them to remove the skin. Chop them into small pieces.
  4. Beat the butter until it's smooth. Add chocolate cream and cocoa and continue mixing.
  5. Finally, incorporate the nuts into the mixture.
  6. Layer the wafer with the chocolate mixture, place the second wafer on top, spread the white mixture over it and cover with the third wafer.
  7. Press it all using a board, add weight and set it aside for 3 hours.
  8. Melt the milk and dark chocolates together and use it to glaze the layered wafer. Refrigerate until it sets.

Your simple and delicious dessert is now ready. Cut into smaller pieces after cooling, and serve to your loved ones. Bon appétit!
