Many women use tweezers, depilatory creams, wax strips, or lasers. However, not everyone knows a cheaper alternative exists outside store-bought cosmetics and professional treatments. This alternative involves a common kitchen staple that is easily accessible in stores.
Turmeric for facial hair?
Facial hair is a common dilemma for women. Although it's natural for everyone to have it, we often remove it regularly. While some of us visit beauty salons, others handle it at home. It turns out we don't need to invest in expensive, specialized products. Instead, we can use items likely already available in our kitchen.
Turmeric, a spice originating from India, not only gives dishes a vibrant yellow color and unique aroma but it's also treasured for its flavor. Recently, consuming it with warm water and lemon in the morning has gained popularity. Furthermore, it has been found that turmeric may assist in reducing facial hair.
This spice is renowned for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. Many might not know that it can also lighten hair and slow its growth.
How to prepare a homemade remedy for facial hair?
To remove facial hair at home, you must prepare an effective mixture, which requires two additional ingredients. Here is what you'll need:
- 1 tablespoon of ground turmeric,
- 3/4 cup of yogurt (milk can also be used as a substitute),
- 2 tablespoons of chickpea flour.
Mix all the ingredients until you achieve a uniform paste. Apply the prepared mixture to the unwanted hair and leave it on as a mask for about 15-20 minutes. Then, simply wipe off the paste using a paper towel soaked in warm water, and you're done. The facial hair will vanish without a trace!
