Adulthood often calls for creativity when it comes to preparing meals, especially for lunch and breakfast. It's not always appealing to cook elaborate dishes or spend hours by the stove. On the other hand, having the same dish daily could become monotonous. Luckily, there is an abundance of recipes that allow us to cook delicious meals both quickly and effortlessly.

Craving a change from scrambled eggs? Try Turkish eggs

Ingredients:

  • 10.6 oz of thick natural yogurt,
  • 4 eggs,
  • 2 garlic cloves,
  • 2 tablespoons of butter,
  • a teaspoon of sweet paprika powder,
  • a pinch of hot paprika powder,
  • a handful of parsley leaves,
  • 2 tablespoons of apple vinegar,
  • a teaspoon of lemon juice,
  • salt,
  • pepper.

Method of preparation:

  1. Begin by preparing the sauce. Combine the yogurt, crushed garlic, and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients well and store it in the refrigerator.
  2. Combine water and apple vinegar in a pan. Bring it to a boil and then reduce the heat. Once the water starts to bubble, stir it well, and then gently crack the egg into the center of the swirl. Allow the egg white to naturally envelop the yolk. After a few moments, the egg will be ready. Remove it using a slotted spoon.
  3. Melt the butter in a frying pan and sauté the spices. Add the parsley leaves towards the end.
  4. Spread the sauce over a plate, arrange the poached eggs on top, and drizzle the herb-infused butter over everything. Serve the Turkish eggs with fresh bread, as it brings out the best flavors.

If you're looking for an alternative to scrambled eggs, this dish is a great choice. It's not only nutritious and satiating but also light and healthy. It's guaranteed to energize your day and keep you satisfied for a longer time.
