Trump's helicopter grounded by flat tire at Miami airport
According to the Daily Mail, a fault was detected in Donald Trump's helicopter when he was about to fly from Miami International Airport. The President of the United States was transitioning from Air Force One to a helicopter known as Marine One to continue his journey. However, it turned out that the helicopter had a flat tire.
Donald Trump arrived on Thursday (April 3) at Miami International Airport on Air Force One just before 5:00 PM. He briefly stopped to transfer to Marine One. After boarding, he had to disembark some time later.
Donald Trump had to leave the helicopter due to a fault
The helicopter never took off and remained on the runway after officials discovered the flat tire. Trump was then seen wearing his bright red MAGA cap and suit, walking across the tarmac to another helicopter, which departed at 5:19 PM.
Despite the issue, NBC News reported that the president safely arrived at the Doral golf club at 5:35 PM. He was there for a dinner preceding the LIV Golf tournament and was expected to head to his Mar-a-Lago residence afterward.
The president is likely to return to Washington on Sunday evening. The Daily Mail notes that this marks the eighth weekend Trump has spent in South Florida since his inauguration in January of this year.
No details have been released regarding the cause of the fault. However, Trump is certainly surrounded by extensive measures from services dedicated to ensuring his safety at every moment.
