Donald Trump will become the 47th President of the United States. Although he has not yet been sworn in, speculation about his policies is already rampant.

Leaks have appeared in the "Wall Street Journal," suggesting that Trump wants to resolve the conflict by establishing a demilitarized zone along the current front line. The reports indicate that Russia would retain the territories it currently occupies while the United States would continue supplying arms to Ukraine. Additionally, Western nations such as Poland, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom are expected to maintain peace and stability by stationing their military forces along the future demarcation line.

The first steps of President Trump: Russians discuss his plans

The Russian Insider reports that Trump will focus on domestic policy within his first seven days in office. The portal cites Fox News, suggesting that the new president plans to nullify 94 orders issued by Joe Biden.

According to Alexandra Filipenko, a Russian Americanist based in Moscow, Donald Trump plans to concentrate on three main areas. The first area of focus will be public health. The new president intends to reverse the strategy of the previous administration, which could impact Biden’s order regarding access to contraceptives.

The next area is migration. According to Filipenko, Trump wants to dismantle asylum regulations and tighten migration policy. The last comprehensive immigration law was passed in 1990, and American migration policy is largely based on presidential executive orders, the political scientist explains. In her opinion, the issue of illegal migration to the USA contributed to Joe Biden's defeat.

The final area of focus is the regulation of artificial intelligence. Donald Trump is expected to ensure ongoing development in this field. Filipenko speculates that he will likely repeal Biden’s memorandum on the use of artificial intelligence and related programs.

Trump's inauguration will take place on January 20, 2025. Although he claims he can end the war between Russia and Ukraine in a single day, it is clear that resolving the conflict will require extended and multilateral negotiations.
