The Ipsos poll results, published by Reuters, show that only one in three Americans is satisfied with the cost of living in the country, which they attribute to President Donald Trump's policies. High tariffs on imports, which may contribute to increased inflation, are causing concern among citizens.

The poll found that positive assessments of Trump's performance in the areas of the economy, foreign policy, and anti-corruption do not exceed 40%. An exception is immigration policy, which is supported by 49% of respondents. The tariffs imposed by Trump include a 25% tariff on goods from Mexico and Canada and a 20% tariff on Chinese products. Economists warn that such actions may fuel inflation.

According to Reuters, Americans are divided on Trump's plan, which makes support for Ukraine contingent on obtaining shares in exploiting its mineral resources. 46% of respondents support this idea, while 50% are opposed. Meanwhile, 70% of those surveyed, including a majority of Democrats and Republicans, consider Russia the aggressor in the conflict with Ukraine.

Federal government reduction

The Ipsos poll shows that 59% of respondents support reducing the federal government, but only 40% agree to collective layoffs of civil service workers. This action is viewed negatively by 57% of respondents, including one-quarter of Republicans.

Half of those surveyed, including 20% of Republicans and 80% of Democrats, believe that Trump has gone too far in the government spending cuts program, led by Elon Musk.
