One of the most anticipated events after the attack on Donald Trump is the Republican Party's National Convention in Milwaukee. The speakers' lineup includes potential vice-presidential candidates and influential donors supporting Donald Trump.

On Saturday in the United States, there was an attack on Donald Trump. Joe Biden's competitor was shot non-fatally and assures that he will participate in one of the most important political events. This event is the Republican Party Convention, during which Trump is to be officially announced as a candidate in the presidential election.

Among the main speakers are the favorites for the role of vice-presidential candidate alongside Donald Trump—senators JD Vance from Ohio and Marco Rubio from Florida, as well as North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, whom American media indicate as leading contenders for this position.

Throughout the last week, Trump repeatedly announced his choice for vice president, using this interest to raise funds for the campaign. On Saturday, he issued another campaign statement on this topic, fueling speculation and media interest.

Influential donors and conservative personalities

The list of speakers also includes Trump's influential donors. Among them are venture capital investor David Sacks and investors Steve and Zach Witko. Their presence underscores the importance of financial support for the former president's campaign and his influence within the Republican Party.

The convention will also feature appearances from well-known conservative media personalities. Tucker Carlson, the controversial former Fox News presenter, and Savannah Chrisley, a reality TV star, are set to address the audience. Additionally, rapper Amber Rose is on the list of speakers, which may be an attempt to reach a younger electorate.

Bitcoin already reacts, gold may rise

According to analysts, the incident in the USA will impact markets. So far, bitcoin has reacted significantly, with its price rising by nearly 3 percent. Financial experts expect a strong reaction from investors, who, amid increasing political uncertainty, may seek refuge in traditional safe havens en masse.

Nick Twidale, the chief market analyst at ATFX Global Markets, predicts that gold may soon test its historical highs. Twidale also expects that the Japanese yen, traditionally seen as a safe currency in times of uncertainty, will gain value.
