Trump's approval languishes as majority of Americans disapprove

Donald Trump is not among the most popular presidents of the United States. This conclusion comes from a comparison of surveys published by "The New York Times." The analysis shows that the majority of Americans oppose the actions of the Republican politician. Trump also fares poorly compared to previous heads of state.

Journalists from "The New York Times" analyzed various approval polls for Donald Trump, conducted since the start of his second presidential term. The conclusions are not favorable for the Republican politician.

Since March, all studies indicate that over 51% of Americans are against Trump's policy, and this trend is on the rise. Currently, about 45% of respondents, on average, support the actions of the U.S. president.

Trump pales in comparison to other U.S. presidents. During the first 100 days in office, Joe Biden had an approval rating of over 50%. This result is about 5 to 10 percentage points higher than what Donald Trump currently has.

Barack Obama enjoyed a record approval rating of over 65%. The policies of George W. Bush were also rated highly. Compared to them, Donald Trump has 25 to 30 percentage points lower approval, depending on the survey.

The current president, however, has approval ratings similar to his first presidential term. At the moment, Trump performs best in the J.L. Partners poll (conducted between April 9 and 13). The survey shows that support for Trump is about 48%, while 42% of Americans are opposed to him.

The worst survey for Trump was conducted by the YouGov center. It shows that 41% of Americans support the president's policy, while as many as 54% oppose it.
