Contrary to the initial announcements from the United States president's administration, the end of the war between Ukraine and Russia remains distant. Peace negotiations with the Russian delegation are not progressing according to the United States' expectations.

Vladimir Putin is making demands that cannot be met while he continues to shell Ukrainian towns. For example, the recent bombing of Kryvyi Rih resulted in the deaths of at least 20 people, with several dozen more injured. The victims were all civilians.

Nevertheless, Donald Trump still believes he can quickly end the war between Russia and Ukraine. He addressed this during a conversation with journalists, responding to a question about the participation of Chinese military personnel allegedly fighting on the Russian side.

I expect this war to end "relatively soon" - Trump said, without addressing the issue of Chinese fighters on the front line.

Instead of answering the question directly, Trump reiterated his statement that "thousands of young people" die each week on both the Russian and Ukrainian sides. He did not mention that significantly more civilians are dying on the Ukrainian side than on the Russian side.

Donald Trump stated that every week, in this dramatic conflict, thousands of young people die, Ukrainians, Russians. He acknowledged that they are not Americans, but they are still people. Trump added that his goal is to end this.
