Trump vows bold actions as he begins second presidency
Donald Trump was sworn in on Monday as the 47th President of the United States during a ceremony at the Capitol. Taking the oath officially begins his presidency. "The golden age of America begins right now," announced the President of the USA.
"From this day forward, our country will flourish."" he promised during the inaugural speech of the 47th President of the United States.
"America will reclaim its rightful place as the greatest, most powerful, most respected nation on Earth — inspiring the awe and admiration of the entire world," added Donald Trump.
"For many years, the radical and corrupt establishment took away power and wealth from our citizens. We now have a government that cannot even handle a simple crisis at home, while simultaneously falling into a constant stream of disastrous events abroad," Trump said. "We have a government that has allocated unlimited funds to defend foreign voters but refuses to defend American voters, and more importantly, its own nation," he added.
The President also referred to the assassination attempt on his life. "God saved me to make America great again," he stated.
Trump returns to the White House. These are to be his first decisions
According to announcements from Donald Trump's team, the new president of the USA will begin his second term by issuing about 100 executive orders. They are to address, among other concerns, additional restrictions at the border, loosening regulations on oil extraction, and changes in the operations of government officials.
"The President intends to sign the most comprehensive border security package by executive order in American history. These executive orders will not only completely close the southern border and stop illegal immigration, initiate mass deportations of illegal immigrants and criminals in our country, but also once and for all begin the process of eliminating the threat from criminal cartels from every country, systematically dismantling every transnational street gang," announced one of the President's closest advisors, Stephen Miller, on Fox News.
Another priority for Trump is to eliminate regulations concerning oil extraction on lands owned by federal authorities. In this context, the U.S. is also expected to withdraw again from the Paris Climate Agreement.
