As reported by Puls Biznesu, the value of Trump Media shares increased by 29% within approximately two hours of Monday's trading session. In pre-market trading, shares rose by 50%. The price of one share at 9 PM Eastern Time is $41.4.

As we read on Monday, investors are still analyzing how the assassination attempt on Donald Trump might affect his chances in the upcoming presidential elections in the United States. The situation assessment is not straightforward—it depends on whether we consider the American or European market.

Market analysts interpret investors' reaction as a sign that the assassination attempt might increase Trump's chances of winning the November elections. Chris Weston, Head of Research at Pepperstone, stated that "Donald Trump as president is likely a positive factor for risky assets." Weston predicts an increase in S&P 500 futures and a strengthening dollar, arguing that Trump promises deregulation of American industries, which could drive gains in the stock markets.

Assassination attempt on Donald Trump - bookmakers unanimous

Recall that on Saturday, there was a failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate. The former President of the United States was shot in the ear. As reported by the FBI, the assassin was 20-year-old Pennsylvania resident Thomas Matthew Crooks. As a result of the attack, two people were killed, including Crooks, and two others were seriously injured.

Bookmakers assessed the candidates' chances for the office of President of the USA. Political scientists indicate that after the debate with Joe Biden and the failed assassination attempt, Donald Trump's ratings among voters are rising, which may complicate the election campaign for the Democrats.

"These are the candidates' odds according to bookmakers in the USA (an average of six firms) after the debate and the assassination attempt," wrote Piotr Kuczyński, chief analyst at Xelion, on platform X. Bookmakers give Donald Trump the greatest chances, with a significant lead over incumbent President Joe Biden.

- The assassination attempt on Donald Trump will mobilize his electorate, soften his image, and complicate the Democrats' election campaign - said PAP Prof. Donald Nieman, a political scientist and historian from the State University of New York in Binghamton. He recalled that in the 250-year history of the USA, there have been 14 assassination attempts on presidents and presidential candidates, four of which were successful.
