Trump slams CBS over Ukraine segment, threatens lawsuit

In a post published on Sunday on his Truth Social channel, Donald Trump called for the revocation of CBS News's license and urged the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Brendan Carr, to impose maximum fines and penalties for the station's "unlawful and illegal behavior."
Trump furious after Ukraine segment
Trump lashed out at the program for featuring an interview with the Ukrainian President. On the air of "60 Minutes," CBS News broadcasted directly from Kryvyi Rih, which was attacked by Russia. Zelensky urged Donald Trump to visit Ukraine.
Zelensky expressed his hatred for Vladimir Putin due to the invasion of Ukraine and emphasized that Trump's visit to Ukraine could help him understand the consequences of the war.
In the Greenland segment, the program featured statements from residents who voiced their opposition to annexation.
The President of the United States accused the program of defamation. He alleged that the media did everything possible to have Kamala Harris elected as President of the United States and that the station was involved in what he described as the "rigged elections" of 2020 in the U.S.
"They are not a 'News Show,' but a dishonest Political Operative simply disguised as 'News,' and must be responsible for what they have done, and are doing," Trump wrote about "60 Minutes," announcing a lawsuit.
Meanwhile, foreign media note that the US President's attacks on CBS News and the "60 Minutes" program are nothing new.
