Donald Trump was seen for the first time since the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. In a short video, the former US president is shown descending the stairs under his power from his private jet. The politician arrived at Newark Liberty Airport near New York.

On July 14, the entire world learned that Donald Trump was shot in the ear during an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The former US president narrowly escaped death at the assassin's hand.

The shooter who targeted Trump missed. However, he hit three bystanders who were listening to the politician's speech. One died on the spot, and two are in critical condition. Secret Service agents shot the attacker a few moments after the shots were fired.

A few hours after these events, Donald Trump was photographed at Newark Liberty Airport. In a short video, the former president is seen descending the stairs onto the Newark airport tarmac under his power.

The former president arrived late at night from Pennsylvania at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. He wore a white shirt and open jacket, which seemed like his outfit during the ill-fated election rally.

Trump had a very serious expression but still found a moment to wave towards the camera while descending the stairs. The video of the former president, healthy and descending the stairs on his own, was published by his campaign staff.

Strong and resilient. He will never stop fighting for America - wrote Margo Martin, deputy director of communications for Donald Trump on the platform X.

Several Secret Service agents accompanied Trump. Vehicles were waiting on the tarmac. According to the New York Times, Trump will spend the night in New Jersey.

The National Republican Convention will take place on Monday, July 15. It is unclear whether the shooting will change Donald Trump's plans. However, all indications are that the leading campaigning Trump will appear at the convention and accept the party’s nomination for president.

Many observers point out that after the assassination attempt, Trump's chances of winning the election have drastically increased. Accepting the Republican Party nomination seems, in these circumstances, merely a formality.
