Trump revokes Biden's security clearances, citing past actions

The US President, Donald Trump, announced that he has revoked his predecessor Joe Biden's access to classified information and daily intelligence briefings. This decision mirrors a similar action by Biden in 2021.

"There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information. Therefore, we are immediately revoking Joe Biden’s Security Clearances, and stopping his daily Intelligence Briefings," Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform.

Trump recalled that Biden had acted similarly toward him, breaking the established custom. In his post on Truth Social, Trump referred to the report by Special Counsel Robert Hur, who examined the matter of classified documents unintentionally retained by Biden. Hur stated that Biden suffers from "poor memory" and even in his "prime" cannot be entrusted with confidential information.

"I will always protect our National Security - JOE, YOU'RE FIRED!" added the US President.

It is worth noting that Trump himself was under investigation for retaining secret documents, including those concerning nuclear weapons. Despite the charges, the case was dismissed after his election victory in November last year.
