Trump praises Putin over historic U.S.-Russia prisoner exchange
Donald Trump, in his typical style, commented on the prisoner exchange between Russia and Western countries. "I’d like to congratulate Vladimir Putin for having made yet another great deal," said the candidate for President of the USA.
On Thursday, the largest prisoner exchange since the Cold War took place in Ankara, involving Russia and Western countries. The exchange operation included 24 individuals who were in prisons in the USA, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, Russia, and Belarus, as well as two children.
As reported by Turkish authorities, 10 people, including two minors, were relocated to Russia, thirteen to Germany, and three to the USA. The prisoner exchange was addressed by Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for President of the United States.
"I’d like to congratulate Vladimir Putin for having made yet another great deal. Did you see the deal we made?" Trump asked during his campaign rally in Atlanta, Georgia.
