Boulos is known for numerous meetings with Arab leaders and has strong relationships with various political parties in Lebanon. His connections include, among others, Hezbollah, a Shiite organization supported by Iran, and the Christian Lebanese Forces party, which opposes Hezbollah.
Massad Boulos also played a significant role in Trump’s presidential campaign by helping to gain the support of the Muslim minority in swing states like Pennsylvania and Michigan. His involvement was instrumental in the Republican Party’s success in the elections.
This marks the second time Trump has chosen a father-in-law from his family for his administration. On Sunday, the politician announced his intention to nominate Charles Kushner, a controversial figure with a criminal record, as the U.S. ambassador to France. Kushner is the father of Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
