Trump invited to milestone summit in Warsaw this April
President of the United States, Donald Trump, is expected to receive an invitation to the upcoming Three Seas Initiative summit, which will be organized at the end of April in Warsaw. As reminded by the head of the Polish Presidential International Policy Bureau, Mieszko Pawlak, Trump has already participated in such an event in 2017.
In April, the Three Seas Initiative summit will take place in Poland, hosted by the Polish president Duda. Mieszko Pawlak announced that, in addition to the presidents of member countries of this initiative, heads of state from strategic partner countries will also be invited to the meeting in Warsaw. One of these countries, he emphasized, is the United States.
There will be a formal invitation
A formal invitation will be sent only after Trump's inauguration as President of the USA. The Three Seas Initiative summit is scheduled for April 28-29, 2025.
The head of the Bureau of International Policy reminded that Trump had once participated in the Three Seas summit at Duda's invitation; this was in 2017 in Warsaw. The potential presence of the US president in this context would therefore form a kind of closing bracket, especially as it will be the tenth anniversary of the Three Seas Initiative summit, he stated.
