The survey revealed deep partisan divisions
The NBC News survey highlights deep partisan divisions. Over the last 80 years, there hasn’t been such a wide gap between the president's approval by his own party members and the opposition. Ninety percent of Republican Party members support Trump, while only four percent of Democrats have a positive opinion of him. Among independent voters, 30 percent approve of his presidency, while 67 percent do not.
Differences in support are also visible depending on gender: 55% of men support Trump, while among women, it’s only 40%.
The Democratic Party has experienced its lowest popularity in NBC News surveys since 1990. Only 27% of those surveyed have positive opinions about the party. This is a significant drop that could impact future elections and the party's strategy.
