Ukraine and Russia exchange prisoners
During negotiations in Istanbul, Ukraine and Russia, with support from Turkish mediators, agreed to conduct a prisoner exchange in the "1000 for 1000" format. This is the largest such operation since the beginning of the conflict.
A representative of Ukrainian military intelligence, Andriy Yusov, informed yesterday that the list of names for the prisoner exchange from Ukraine has already been passed to Russia.
On Thursday, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, also reported on a preparatory meeting for the prisoner exchange and the reports received from Russia. The process is overseen by Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
"Our team is currently working through the details of the exchange. I am grateful to everyone who is contributing to this effort," Zelensky emphasized.
