Trump Force One clips wing in tarmac tussle at Florida airport
Donald Trump's private jet was involved in a collision with another airplane on the tarmac in Florida. The Boeing 757, Trump's favored aircraft and a prominent feature of his election campaign, dubbed "Trump Force One," reportedly clipped the wing of another aircraft while taxiing after landing.
Collision involving Trump's airplane. Incident on the airport apron.
Reuters reported the incident on Wednesday, though it occurred the previous Saturday night at West Palm Beach airport in Florida. According to an agency source, the former US president's plane was moving on the airport apron when it collided with a jet owned by a corporate aviation entity.
The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that the private Boeing 757 made contact with another parked and empty jet on the apron.
Trump did not comment on the incident
In its statement, the FAA clarified that the incident took place in a part of the airport outside of its air traffic control jurisdiction. However, the agency has announced it will conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
Attempts by Reuters to obtain comments from Donald Trump's election campaign staff were unsuccessful, as they did not respond to inquiries.
