"ALERT: All purchases of Iranian Oil, or Petrochemical products, must stop, NOW! Any Country or person who buys ANY AMOUNT of OIL or PETROCHEMICALS from Iran will be subject to, immediately, Secondary Sanctions. They will not be allowed to do business with the United States of America in any way, shape, or form. Thank you for your attention to this matter, PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP," Trump wrote.

He further stated that such "countries or people" will not be able to "do any business with the United States of America".

In his post, Trump did not provide reasons for such a radical approach.

U.S.-Iranian talks have been postponed

On Thursday, Oman’s Foreign Ministry announced that the U.S.-Iranian talks regarding Tehran's nuclear program, which were scheduled to take place in the country, would not take place as planned on Saturday, May 3.

The change was explained by "logistical reasons."

The Iranian Foreign Ministry informed journalists that Oman’s foreign minister had suggested postponing the talks. Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghei assured reporters that Iran is committed to reaching a "fair and lasting agreement" and will participate "seriously and decisively" in "result-oriented negotiations," according to the Iranian news agency IRNA.

Previously, the American news portal Axios indicated that the fourth round of U.S.-Iranian talks, which primarily concern Tehran's nuclear program and the sanctions imposed by Washington on Iran, might be postponed by a few days. The portal, citing several sources, reported that the talks will most likely be suspended until next week.
