Donald Trump has voiced his opinion that European countries should contribute more towards supporting Ukraine. The US presidential candidate stated that while Ukraine's well-being is crucial for the United States, it should hold even more significance for Europe.

On Wednesday, Donald Trump shared his thoughts on the situation in Ukraine via his social media platform TRUTH Social. "Why isn't Europe donating more funds to assist Ukraine?" he questioned in his post.

The former USA president pointed out that the United States "has invested over $100 billion more into the conflict in Ukraine than Europe has." Trump continued by questioning why Europe cannot at least match the financial contributions made by the United States to support a nation that is in dire need.

As everyone agrees, Ukrainian Survival and Strength should be much more important to Europe than to us, but it is also important to us! Get moving Europe!"" - the Republican candidate for president called out.

Significant legislation for Ukraine

Ukraine continues to request additional ammunition and anti-air defense systems from its Western allies as Russian forces persist in their daily attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.

This Wednesday, Republicans in the House of Representatives revealed a draft of three bills aimed at supporting Ukraine, Israel, and the Indo-Pacific, suggesting nearly $61 billion in aid for Ukraine. President Joe Biden has endorsed this legislative package, urging a rapid review and passage by both chambers of Congress, and has vowed to sign them promptly. A vote is scheduled for Saturday.

Tom Cole, the chair of the House of Representatives's budget committee, wrote: "I know this to be true: if we don't help our friends in time of need, soon enough, we won't have any friends at all. The time is now to act." Cole called for quickly adopting the bills and sending them to the Senate.
