CNN analyst Harry Enten notes that Trump is now more popular than ever in his first term. He emphasizes that 45 percent of Americans believe the country is on the right track, which is the second-highest figure since 2009.

Meanwhile, an NBC News poll indicates that 44 percent of citizens share this opinion, the highest figure since 2004. "The bottom line is, the percentage of Americans who say we’re on the right track is through the roof," stated Enten.

Prospects for Republicans

The rise in optimism among Americans could benefit Republicans in the upcoming Congressional elections in 2026. Enten notes that the current poll results resemble those that accompanied past Republican victories.

"Looks a heck of a lot more like when Republicans win than when Democrats win," added the CNN analyst.
