Trump anticipates Taylor Swift's support in 2024 presidential race due to beneficial law

Taylor Swift has publicly aligned herself with the Democratic Party since 2018. The singer actively urged her fans to vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the recent elections. After Swift encouraged voter registration in an Instagram post in September 2023, the vote.org website saw its traffic balloon by 1200%. US experts believe that Swift's explicit declaration of her voting preferences could significantly sway the final results of the White House race in November 2024.

Identifying the power held by the music icon, Donald Trump responded with a sharp post on the social media platform owned by his company. The former president expressed his expectation to receive support from Swift in the impending elections, referring to a law he passed years ago that allows musicians to earn greater revenue.

Trump anticipates backing from Taylor Swift in presidential race, mentions her boyfriend

“I signed and was instrumental in the development of the Music Modernization Act for the benefit of Taylor Swift and all other music artists. Joe Biden has done nothing for Taylor and never will,” wrote Trump on Truth Social.

The politician is banking on "loyalty" from Swift and finds it hard to believe that she would restate her support for Biden. Despite their differing political leanings, Trump professed admiration for the singer's boyfriend.

“I cannot fathom her supporting Joe Biden, whom I believe to be the worst and most corrupt president in our country's history, and being ungrateful to the man who significantly increased her earnings. Moreover, I am fond of her boyfriend, Travis, even though he is a liberal and probably dislikes me!” he added.
