If, for any reason, Kamala does not want to or cannot debate on that day, I have agreed with Fox to organize a broad Town Hall discussion on the evening of September 4, Trump wrote on his platform, Truth Social.
Harris, who has already secured enough delegate votes at the Democratic Party convention to become the official candidate for her party in the presidential election in November, has not yet responded to Trump's statement.
Fox News is a conservative-leaning television network that traditionally supports Republicans.
Record fundraising
Just a day after Joe Biden withdrew from the White House race, it was clear that Kamala Harris was setting records for campaign funds raised. On July 22, the media noted that donations for Harris had surpassed 50 million dollars. Shortly afterwards, it was revealed that in just 24 hours, she had raised 81 million dollars. And the counter was still running.
On Monday, July 29, it was reported that in seven days, Democrats had gathered 200 million dollars for the campaign. This was emphasized as a huge, record-breaking fundraiser and a historic feat for the still unofficial but certain Democratic Party presidential candidate.
Donald Trump also has reasons to be happy. As "The New York Times" reported, in July, the Republican candidate raised as much as 139 million dollars.
