Triumph updates Tiger 1200 for 2024: More comfort, new colors, and pricing
As Triumph's most substantial touring model, the Tiger 1200 caters to both asphalt riders and off-road enthusiasts, depending on the version. Despite its relatively recent debut, the 2024 model year brings subtle enhancements, demonstrating Triumph's commitment to continuous refinement.

The bike is propelled by a three-cylinder, 1160 cc engine delivering 150 HP and 95 lb-ft of torque. While these figures remain unchanged, the engine now offers a smoother response at lower RPMs, complimented by a more forgiving clutch, particularly noticeable when shifting into first gear.
The GT Pro and GT Explorer, designed for road use, now feature higher and more centrally located footrests, improving ground clearance and cornering capability. These models also inherit steering dampers from the off-road-oriented Rally variants, enhancing comfort and reducing mirror vibration.
Enhancements across all four models include redesigned, flatter seats aimed at increasing comfort for long distances. An optional seat lowers the height by approximately 0.79 inches, resulting in seat heights of about 32.7 inches for the GT Pro and 33.7 inches for the Rally Pro. Notably, as of August 2023, the Triumph Tiger 1200 introduced an option to lower the suspension by roughly 0.79 inches when stationary, a significant improvement for this tall tourer.
New color options accompany the refreshed model for the new year. The GT version now offers a red color scheme alongside the existing white and black, while the Rally is available in matte sand, in addition to the standard black and matte khaki. The new Triumph Tiger 1200 variants also come with updated pricing.
The road-focused versions are priced at approximately $23,120 for the GT Pro (equipped with a 5.3-gallon tank) and $24,660 for the GT Explorer (featuring a 7.9-gallon tank and protective tubing). The off-road variants are priced at $23,630 for the Rally Pro (with a 5.3-gallon tank and basic protections) and $25,660 for the Rally Explorer (including a 7.9-gallon tank and more extensive protective tubing).
