Voepass Flight 2283 took off on Friday from Cascavel Airport in the Parana region of southern Brazil. The plane was supposed to land at Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo. Minutes before reaching its destination, the plane crashed in a residential area in Vinhedo, on the outskirts of São Paulo.
One of the passengers on the flight, Rosana Xavier, sent a troubling message to her family just before the tragedy, as reported by the "Daily Mail."
"We're going to arrive in the rain. I am so scared of this flight. I swear. The plane is old," Rosana wrote. Moments later, she added, "There is a broken seat. I swear. Chaos," reads the SMS.
Rosana's mother, Rosemeire Xavier, told Brazilian TV journalists that she advised her daughter to read verses from the Bible. Worried, the 23-year-old, sitting on the plane, took a photo of herself and sent it to family members just minutes before the crash.
