An accident occurred in Sardinia, resulting in the death of two people. A Hindu billionaire and a Bollywood actress were in one of the vehicles. It is known what legal consequences the perpetrator may face.

In the south of Sardinia, in the vicinity of the town of San Giovanni Suergiu, there was an accident involving three vehicles. As shown in a video released by the agency L'Unione Sarda, a red Ferrari was overtaking a white camper. Even though the road was straight, at the same time, the driver of a navy blue Lamborghini also began an overtaking maneuver. Eventually, the sports cars collided, and one of them tipped the camper over and hit its lower part. The red Ferrari began to catch fire several seconds later.

As reported by the newspaper "Times of India", the passengers of the navy Lamborghini came out of this unscathed. They were a 53-year-old billionaire from India, Vikas Oberoi, and his wife, a 46-year-old Bollywood actress, Gayatri Joshi. The vehicle that crashed into the camper was driven by friends of the said couple, a 63-year-old woman and her 67-year-old husband, residents of Zurich, who rented the car to tour the island. The couple died on the spot. In the white van, there was a 60-year-old couple from northern Italy. They did not sustain serious injuries.

The billionaire is likely to be held criminally responsible for causing a fatal accident. Indian media reports that the driver faces up to seven years of imprisonment.
