Tragic accident fallout: WWE icon faces 17‑year sentence

WWE legend Tammy Sytch has been sentenced to 17 years in prison. This sentence comes in the aftermath of a tragic event that unfolded in 2022. Sytch was implicated in an accident that resulted in the death of a 75-year-old man.

The verdict for Tammy Sytch was passed on Monday. The '90s American wrestling superstar made her appearance in the courtroom dressed in an orange jumpsuit, her wrists secured in handcuffs.

During the hearing, she spoke for several minutes. Various individuals associated with the case were also granted the opportunity to voice their perspectives. A court expert presenting his analysis of Sytch's mental state also contributed to the proceedings.

An emotional Sytch apologized for the incident. She even addressed the victim's family at one point during the proceedings.

Known also by her moniker "Sunny", Tammy Sytch was incarcerated in May 2022. Prosecutors confirmed her involvement in an accident while driving under the influence, causing the death of a 75-year-old man. The unfortunate incident occurred in March 2022 in Florida.

The legendary wrestler is reported to have struck the man at a traffic light. This incident resulted in Sytch facing a total of eight charges. She initially denied culpability but changed her plea to guilty in August.
