Tragedy strikes Russian soldiers en route to Ukraine: deadly collision
A bus carrying 32 Russian contract soldiers collided head-on with a Volga car, resulting in the immediate death of the 69-year-old driver. The bus subsequently fell into a ditch and overturned. This accident took place in the Voronezh region of Russia.

The tragic incident happened on Wednesday afternoon in the Rossoshansky district within the Voronezh region. The soldiers were en route from the Russian city of Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan.
Accident en route to the front
A few kilometers from the Ukrainian border, the accident occurred when a Volga car crashed into the bus. The 69-year-old driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Subsequently, the passenger car caught fire and exploded a short while later. Residents recorded videos of the incident and shared them online. Meanwhile, the bus carrying the Russian soldiers veered off into a ditch and overturned.
Nine soldiers sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized. The remainder continued their journey to the front in a replacement bus.
An official investigation into the accident has been launched.
