Tragedy in the skies: Trump blames the helicopter height for the catastrophe in Washington
Another video has emerged of the plane crash in Washington. It clearly shows the helicopter flying into the airplane.
On the night between Wednesday and Thursday, a tragic plane crash occurred near Washington. An American Airlines Bombardier CRJ-700 passenger plane flying from Wichita collided with a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter just before reaching the runway at Ronald Reagan Airport in Arlington.
CNN has obtained yet another video of the tragedy. It shows the Black Hawk flying straight into the airplane.
As a result of the collision, everyone traveling on both aircraft was killed, including 64 passengers on the plane and three soldiers aboard the helicopter.
Trump: The helicopter was too high
An investigation has been launched to clarify all circumstances surrounding the crash. President Donald Trump insists that the helicopter was flying too high.
"The Blackhawk helicopter was flying too high, by a lot. It was far above the 200 foot limit. That’s not really too complicated to understand, is it???" wrote Trump on his Truth Social platform.
The President noted that he is not in favor of reducing air traffic in the region, including military flights, provided they are conducted in the appropriate areas and not at the same altitude as passenger planes. Trump emphasized that flight safety is a priority, but it should not restrict air operations.
