In a plane crash, Scott Bloomquist, one of the greatest Dirt Series drivers in history, was killed. Officials are investigating the incident. The athlete was 60 years old, and his small Piper J-3 plane crashed into a barn on a ranch in Tennessee.

The tragedy occurred near Scott Bloomquist's home in Tennessee. His friend Reid Millard, also a well-known racer, informed the public on behalf of the deceased driver's family, stating on social media.

Scott Bloomquist was a great friend of mine along with a lot of people in the Dirt Late Model Model and racing community. His mother Georgette just called me and wanted me to announce that he lost his life this morning - he wrote.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also confirmed the incident. According to reports, the single-engine Piper J-3 plane crashed into a barn on Friday at about 8:50 AM Eastern Time on Scott Bloomquist's family farm. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the tragedy.
