Tragic accident in the ski resort
According to a written statement from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, a generator was placed in a closed room near the bedroom. The employees likely started it on Friday, December 13th, after a power outage occurred in the facility.
The Ministry reported that "at first glance," there were "no signs of violence" on the bodies.
The ministry reported that investigations are underway. Experts and criminologists are examining the site, interviewing those connected to the case, and arranging the necessary examinations.
An autopsy will clarify the cause of death for the 12 people. The proceedings are being conducted for involuntary manslaughter, which, according to the Georgian Penal Code, carries a penalty of 3 to 5 years of imprisonment in the case of the death of more than two people.
