According to Palestinian authorities, in the past 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, as a result of Israeli attacks, 459 injured individuals were admitted to hospitals, and the bodies of 153 killed were recovered from under the rubble. However, the number of casualties may be even higher as rescue teams are having difficulty reaching all the victims, which further complicates the situation.

Since the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, 53,272 people have died, and 120,673 have been injured.

Israel resumed military operations in the Gaza Strip

The Israeli army resumed military operations in the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025, breaking the ceasefire. This decision was approved by the Israeli government last week. The aim of the offensive is to relocate Palestinian civilians to the south, capture remaining areas of the Gaza Strip, and dismantle the Hamas organization. Israel promises to resume humanitarian aid, but under new conditions, which raises controversy and concerns among the international community.

The latest episode of the war in the Gaza Strip has been ongoing since October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked southern Israel, killing approximately 1,200 people and taking 251 hostage. The Israeli army believes that 23 hostages remain in captivity, and the bodies of 35 kidnapped individuals are being held.
