Tragedy at French festival: Comedian Tony Knight killed by falling tree branch
The actor, comedian, and dog behaviorist was 54 years old. His partner's brother announced Knight's death. "She is now living her worst nightmare without Tony, her soulmate," he wrote on the fundraising page set up after the tragic event.
According to Fox News, the British-born comedian was killed when a tree branch fell on him. This tragic accident occurred during the Rock & Cars festival in the French town of Lavaur. As reported by a French newspaper, several people were injured in the accident, but Knight suffered the worst injuries and did not survive.
"He was fit, healthy, and happy. He had great charisma, a sense of humor, and a future ahead of him," reads the fundraising page set up by Haley's brother, who lived with Tony for the past 15 years. The funds will be used for funeral and medical expenses.
Tony Knight combined his passion for comedy and his love for dogs in his work. He had an original comedy show, "Crazy Dogs and an Englishman," which he performed in Australia and on other continents. He had been in France for just a few days, spending his annual vacation there. Shortly after, he was supposed to go to the UK with his program.
