The distraught woman claims she was attacked by five men around 5 AM on Saturday. The men allegedly gang-raped her and stole her phone. According to the British daily "The Sun," the woman managed to escape to the kebab shop Dounia on Boulevard de Clichy, near the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret theater, where she called the police.

The 25-year-old Australian recounted to officers that after the alleged attack, she had to flee to the kebab shop in a torn dress, holding her underwear in her hand.

The victim was subsequently taken to Bichat Hospital, where, according to witnesses, she was "disoriented and couldn’t say a word in French." Local media report that when the woman left the scene, her dress looked as if it had been turned inside out.

According to reports, the woman was in Paris for the Fête de la Musique music festival. "The Sun" reports that just a day before the alleged attack, she was planning to return to Australia. The Paris prosecutor's office has opened an investigation. They intend to review nearby surveillance footage to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

In a statement, it was announced: "An investigation into the charge of gang rape, which likely took place on the night of July 19 to 20, has been assigned to the second district of the judicial police." The Police Alliance Union assured that investigators "will do everything to quickly identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice."

This year's Games are set to be the most secure in history. Over 60,000 police and soldiers will be involved. It will be the largest military deployment in France since World War II.

The security measures aim to ensure the safety of 15 million visitors and 10,500 participants of the Olympic Games. In addition to numerous security teams, airborne units will also be involved in the efforts.
