Tourists jumped into a 295-foot abyss to avoid a collision with a train

These dramatic events occurred on Monday, July 15, at the Gormaghat Bridge in Pali, India. In the video circulating on social media, a couple takes the only chance to avoid a train collision and jumps into a 295-foot-deep gorge.

How did it happen that the couple didn't notice the approaching train? It turns out that they stepped onto the bridge for a photo session and were utterly "absorbed" in it. They managed to avoid the train when the locomotive was just a few feet away. Before the bridge, people, shocked by the situation, were holding their heads and shouting.

Emergency services were immediately called to the scene, reporting that the couple survived the fall, but the man's condition was critical. They were transported to the nearest hospital, where doctors were fighting for their lives.

According to Indian media, the bridge where the drama unfolded is a trendy spot, often chosen for taking pictures. Due to the incident, local authorities have decided to increase controls there. On Instagram, many videos and photos from the location show the abyss into which the couple jumped and the surrounding greenery.
