A video posted online shows a tourist wearing a striped T-shirt hitting the park employee dressed as Winnie the Pooh on the head. The blow was strong enough to knock the actor to the ground.

The aggressive tourist was detained by park staff

The video also shows park employees and tourists gathering to assist the injured actor. An actor dressed as Piglet also joins in to help. Together, they aid their colleague and escort Winnie the Pooh, who holds his head in apparent discomfort.

Disneyland personnel quickly responded to the situation. The man was detained by staff and other visitors who did not ignore his actions.

The Shanghai amusement park management assured that the Winnie the Pooh costume actor was not seriously injured. The authorities also indicated that the perpetrator will face consequences. The motives behind the tourist's aggression remain unknown.

The park's management emphasized that they do not intend to change their policy regarding interactions between cartoon characters and guests. Close encounters with favorite fairy-tale characters are an essential part of the Disneyland experience, and according to park authorities, there is no reason to discontinue them.
