The woman who has captured the star's affection is a Russian celebrity named Elsina Khayrova. The 36-year-old is the daughter of a Russian politician and the ex-wife of a Russian oligarch. Their divorce followed a massive scandal involving property division.
Elsina Khayrova's ex-husband, Dmitry Tsetkov, offered his thoughts on her new romantic connection with the famous actor in a conversation with the "Daily Mail". While he doesn't communicate directly with his ex-wife—contact is limited to lawyers—he warned Cruise to keep his wallet "wide open".
"Regardless of who she is with, whether it's Tom Cruise or someone else, they should be aware that she has a liking for the finer things in life and possesses expensive and luxurious taste" – he told the Daily Mail.
