Toby Keith, an American singer, songwriter, actor, and music producer, hailed from Clinton, Oklahoma, and grew up in Moore, a suburb of Oklahoma City. Over his career, he released 19 studio albums, two Christmas albums, and five compilation albums, achieving global sales exceeding 40 million albums. His success extended to the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, where 61 of his singles charted, including 20 that reached number one. In addition to his music career, Keith featured in Ford commercials, performing original songs like "Ford Truck Man" and "Look Again."
According to The Variety, in June 2022 Keith revealed that he had been diagnosed with stomach cancer. "I have spent the last six months undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery (...) So far it is fine. I need time to breathe, recuperate and relax." - he wrote at the time.
A few weeks before his death, the singer let it be known that he had found peace through faith during his intensive therapy. "I got to a point where I came to terms with what had happened and found that I was in a good place," - he told 9News.
