TikTok's sheep: Unusual pet trend catches train travelers' hearts

Some people have a dog, others a cat, and this TikToker decided to befriend a sheep. Since the woman bought the animal from a breeder, she hasn't been apart from it for a moment. She even created a special profile to share their adventures together. Recently, she traveled with the sheep by train.

The trend of keeping unusual animals such as raccoons, goats, or miniature pigs at home is gaining popularity. While such pets can add a touch of exoticism and uniqueness to their owners' lives, it's important to consider the consequences of this decision.

In many cases, keeping such animals in a residential setting can be difficult or even harmful—for both the animals and their caretakers. Raccoons, though adorable, are extremely mischievous and can cause damage in the house. Goats require a lot of space, and their natural needs, such as chewing on plants or exploring their surroundings, are hard to meet in a city apartment.

The TikToker bought a sheep

A profile called "owcaiczlowiek" appeared on TikTok, run by a woman trying to domesticate a sheep. She bought the animal from a breeder and immediately befriended it. Although she usually keeps it in the countryside, recently, due to frost, it was staying with her in an apartment building: "He is in the countryside, but he was in the house a little bit because it was cold, and I didn't want to sit in the barn, but trust me, he would gladly live in the apartment building."

One of the woman's videos particularly stood out. It showed how she travels with her sheep by train. Although the passengers were delighted, unfortunately, the conductors did not allow the transport of a farm animal, and the owner was forced to take a taxi.

Internet users delighted with the animal

Many internet users are delighted with the content published by the sheep's owner. The woman shows how she goes shopping or walks around the city with the animal. Commenters almost unanimously agree that the presence of a sheep on their journey wouldn't bother them: "Honestly, it wouldn't bother me, it would rather make my day," "I also want to travel by train with a sheep," "dream to travel with such a passenger," "how cute omg."
