The world of TikTokers is rapidly evolving, and the variety of opinions and content draws the attention of many users. However, sometimes online confessions by celebrities evoke immense emotions and waves of criticism, as was the case with Lucy Welcher, whose account has already gathered over 17 million likes.
Surprising confession from TikToker. Internet users didn't hold back
Lucy is known for her videos, which show her driving a car and sipping iced coffee. In one of the recordings, she decided to share her thoughts on work. She then stated that she was "too beautiful to work" all her life. Although it was meant to be a joke, things quickly turned unexpectedly.
"I do not want to work for the rest of my life. Does it look like I want to get up at 6 a.m. every [terrible] day for the next 60 years? No! I’m too pretty for that!" she said, sipping her coffee.
Lucy did not expect her words to cause such a reaction. It quickly went viral but in a negative sense. Comments under the video were full of criticism, and users expressed their dissatisfaction in blunt words.
Maybe it's high time to try to grow up instead of acting like a privileged princess expecting life to fall at your feet? one of the commenters wrote.
TikToker under fire. Here's how she responded to negative comments
Although many people criticized her statement, some agreed with Lucy, stating that work indeed can be overwhelming. Some defended her, explaining that it was just a clumsy joke, but not everyone was convinced.
Lucy firmly rejected the accusations, emphasizing that her confession was a joke. Nevertheless, it was difficult for her to withstand the wave of criticism, which led to the removal of the video from TikTok. Nonetheless, she continues to actively post on her profile, no longer referring to the controversial post.
One proof that she was joking could be a video where she shows herself putting on makeup on her way to work. Judging by her posts, she currently works at a spa and has even received a promotion. Instead of folding towels, she now holds a "desk" position.
