A video showcasing risky behavior appeared on TikTok. A user shared a recording narrating her battle with hornets. The woman decided to deal with the insects on her own. Unfortunately, her idea could have ended tragically. How should one properly remove a hornet's nest?

New trends and challenges often appear on the platform. Generally, these go viral. However, videos that evoke extreme emotions such as shock, outrage, or joy achieve equally high engagement.

Hornets are a nightmare for people living on the outskirts of cities and villages. The insects often nest in quiet, nature-surrounded places. They can be found not only in the yard but also in farm buildings, attics, sheds, gazebos, barns, or under roof eaves. These insects are particularly dangerous for people allergic to their venom.

An anti-guide on how to remove a hornet’s nest appeared on TikTok. A user posted a video of her attempt to eliminate the nested insects in the ventilation. The woman used insect spray and generously sprayed the vent. After a short moment, hornets began to come out of the holes. Then, we hear a squeal and the sounds of her fleeing the bathroom. In subsequent videos, we see that the risky action ended successfully, but we strongly discourage attempting such actions on your own.

If you notice that hornets have nested in your home, you should immediately notify the appropriate services. It’s best to call the fire department and report the problem. The officers will determine the best course of action for the situation. Acting on your own is dangerous.
