Thrifty mom saves money by transforming son's untouched Bolognese pasta into new meal

Becca, a young and savvy mom, recently posted on TikTok about her inventive and thrifty ways. She shared a video detailing how she repurposed her son's unfinished pasta, and the approach was rather ingenious.

She showed how she saves on food. "It's disgusting."

She rinsed the untouched pasta and created a new dish with it

According to the "Daily Mail," Becca was reluctant to discard the Bolognese pasta, her son had not touched, citing it as wasteful.

She came up with an idea—innovative, according to her. She drained the pasta and rinsed off all the tomato sauce under running water. Then she transformed it into a "kimchi" dish, which she relished.

She documented the entire process and uploaded it to a Chinese platform. She encouraged feedback and solicited viewers' opinions on her frugal method. She also mentioned that her husband found the method thoroughly unsettling.

"Is it strange, or is it a good way to reduce food waste?" Becca asked her followers.

The video quickly went viral on TikTok. It garnered nearly half a million views. Many people, especially parents, were eager to weigh in. Some supported the thrifty mom, while others disagreed with her approach.

"Personally, I think it's brilliant, albeit a little strange," one person remarked.
"It's an effective way to reduce waste that would otherwise end up in the bin," another added.
"I think your husband has a point," another responded.
