In a Thursday video posted on social media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that work is underway in his country on a comprehensive program for the production of domestic weapons.

Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude to all the leaders and countries that support Ukraine, providing it with weapons, equipment, and ammunition.

He added, however, that "it's obvious that the primary importance is the country's choice to have its own production, own weapons, equipment, missiles for all types of weapons that the defense forces need".

The President of Ukraine also emphasized that during Thursday's meeting with the highest command, the Deputy Prime Minister presented a report on innovations in the field of electronic warfare.

Zelensky added, "we are developing a comprehensive program in all such directions with precise deadlines and quantities."

Thus, the Ukrainian president emphasized the importance of independence in military equipment production for the security of his country. He noted that while external assistance is important and valued, developing one's own ability to produce weapons and equipment is key.
